Andrew Garfield reveals who his favorite Spider-Man is

Andrew Garfield, who himself wore the Spider-Man costume in the cinema, has just revealed which actor had the most impact on him in this role. As is often the case with this type of statement, it caused a lot of ink to flow among fans.

Tobey Maguire, Andrew Garfield and Tom Holland are the three main actors to have played the legendary role of Peter Parker, aka Spider-Man. The three performers are often compared and Andrew Garfield, one of the interested parties, agreed to give his preference.

Spider-Man is one of the most famous superheroes. It has inspired numerous adaptations such as series, cartoons and even films, with major success. One of the iconic actors who played Spider-Man is Andrew Garfield, in the “Amazing Spider-man” saga (but also in “Spider-man: No Way Home”).

The 41-year-old actor had fun answering the question that all fans of the universe created by Marvel have on their lips: who is the best Spider-Man?

In an interview given to Vanityfair with actress Florence Pugh (for the promotion of their film Love in the Present), Andrew Garfield explained his choice: “I was at drama school. And I watched the first Spider-Man films (Tobey Maguire’s). I was a fairly impressionable actor and was practicing “being him”, but Tom [Holland] also did a great job. I love them both equally, but it was a formative part of my life, because Tobey has that “this is the Spider-Man I grew up with” part. But Tom has all my admiration. I’m not going to choose.”

Florence Pugh concluded Andrew’s response by suggesting the answer “TobYom.” The actor was quick to take up the idea, which puts the two actors on an equal footing.

Many fans were disappointed that Andrew Garfield did not reference the many other actors who brought Peter Parker to life. We can think of the actors who lend their voices in the recently released cartoons or video games or of the actor Josh Keaton who played “Spidey” in Spectacular Spider-Man (2008-2009). However, we cannot blame the actor for his love of the character Spider-Man, which he recently proclaimed again by admitting that he “would 100% come back (as Spider-Man) if there was a great concept or something that’s never been done before.”
