The summer blockbuster starring Pierre Niney, which is inspired by the famous novel by Alexandre Dumas, will be released in cinemas at the end of June after its presentation at the Cannes Film Festival.

Two months before its theatrical release, and a few days before its out-of-competition presentation at the Cannes Film Festival, The count of Monte Cristo gets a new trailer.

The summer blockbuster, signed Matthieu Delaporte and Alexandre de la Patellière, the director duo of First nameis inspired by the famous novel by Alexandre Dumas. Pierre Niney plays the title role.

Victim of a conspiracy, Edmond Dantès is arrested for a crime he did not commit. Imprisoned for 14 years in the jails of the Chateau d’If, he managed to escape. Having become immensely rich thanks to the secret of Abbot Faria, he returns under the identity of the Count of Monte Cristo to take revenge on the three men who betrayed him.

Filming took place last year between July and November. Originally scheduled for release on December 11, 2024, the count of Monte Cristo will finally arrive in theaters on June 28.

This blockbuster, which has a duration of 2h53, is supervised by the same team as The three Musketeers: Dimitri Rassam on production and Matthieu Delaporte and Alexandre de La Patellière on writing.
