The two pieces thus join the permanent collection of the museum, which already has other original elements from the Star Wars films, such as costumes of Ewoks or Princess Leïa (played by Carrie Fisher) in Return of the Jedi (released in 1983).

If the blaster has already been on display at the museum since this Saturday, May 4, Darth Vader’s helmet will only be visible from June 15, 2024.

That day, the museum will offer a masterclass for the occasion in the presence of Brian Muir, the sculptor behind Darth Vader’s emblematic helmet, but also the famous white armor of the Stormtroopers.
