The pre-production of 28 Years Later is clearly going well, while the rest of 28 Days Later has already found its three headliners (and not the least), reports Deadline.

The famous Ralph Fiennes, Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Jodie Comer will thus be immersed in the (post-)post-apocalyptic universe imagined by Alex Garland (Civil War) and Danny Boyle (Trainspotting).

Even if the details surrounding the storyline of this new episode have not yet been revealed, the presence of such a trio can only bode well in terms of the overall quality of the project.

After being presented at the beginning of the year to different studios, it was finally Sony Pictures which won the bid and which will distribute the new episodes of the franchise, each of which will have a budget estimated at around 60 million US dollars.

The second opus of this new trilogy (still written by Alex Garland) will be directed by American filmmaker Nia DaCosta (Candyman, The Marvels).

The star of the first film released in 2002, Cillian Murphy, will act as executive producer, and it is not impossible that he will also find himself in front of the cameras.

Recall that actor Aaron Taylor-Johnson caused a lot of ink to flow recently, after a British tabloid claimed that he was about to get the coveted role of Agent 007.
