Of all the upcoming Marvel movies, Blade is probably one of the most “desired” ones. So where does this case stand?
With all the twists and turns, the Arlesienne of the new film Blade of the MCU has become almost comical. Even if it must be a little less so for its lead actor, Mahershala Ali, who must not see the end of it. At the time of its announcement in 2019, Marvel was still at its peak (we were then just after the triumph ofEndgame) and promised the world to its audience with the arrival of new characters. And that of the charismatic vampire killer had something to excite.
But tragically Blade has become symptomatic of a progressive chaos in the MCU’s schedules. What was supposed to be a simple introductory film for the vigilante has turned out to be a production headache. WILL THERE BE A NEW BLADE MOVIE?

And this is good timing, because Kevin Feige has confirmed to BlackTree TV in July 2024, that Blade will be classified R (prohibited to those under 17).
WHAT DO WE KNOW ABOUT THE BLADE CAST?
Except Mahershala Ali in the title rolealone Delroy Lindo et Mia Goth were announced in November 2021 and April 2023, respectively. Unfortunately, The Hollywood Reporter confirmed last June that Delroy Lindo had finally left the ship, as had the pilot Aaron Pierre (Foe, Brother) who confirmed in March 2024 that he was no longer involved in the project at all.
Several rumors have also circulated, starting with the choice of Antony Starr (aka the Protector in The Boys) to play the antagonist, although nothing is founded (or even very credible).
WHERE WILL BLADE BE BROADCAST?
If things don’t turn sour permanently, there’s a very good chance that Blade be broadcast exclusively in cinemas.
