A vehicle drove into a crowd in New Orleans, United States, killing at least 10 people and injuring 30 on the night of December 31 to January 1, city authorities announced. The incident occurred at the corner of Canal and Bourbon Street, on the edge of the American city's French Quarter.
“Everyone started shouting and screaming and running towards the back, then we were locked in for a little while and it calmed down, but they wouldn't let us leave”a young woman who was in a nightclub on the street told CNN. “When they finally let us out of the club, the police waved us off and told us to leave the area quickly. I saw a few dead bodies that they couldn't even cover up and tons of people who received first aid.”
