The general director of Ducati Corse, Gigi Dall'Igna, praised in his last press release of the season the merits of the new world champion Jorge Martin and his Pramac team, also emphasizing that the Italian manufacturer crushed the season as a whole.

“Absolutely brilliant, that’s all we can say after winning a third consecutive World Drivers’ Championship title. This once again confirms the strength of the Ducati project, the commitment and team spirit of everyone, riders and teams, who have contributed to making it succeed with splendid continuity, as proven by the figures of recent years, and who increasingly project this strength as a style, a philosophy, a way of working and winning, together. »

“In particular, Jorge Martin, the entirely deserving new world champion, is today writing another page of history at the end of a sensational season: he was the best and most consistent, he made fewer mistakes than Bagnaia and optimized his determination and tenacity with important results that ultimately made the decisive difference. »

“A big congratulations also to Pecco: he too had an extraordinary season. With 11 victories in long races and 7 in sprints, he proved himself to be a thoroughbred champion. Victories which, however, were not enough to win the title in a competition that was as difficult as it was fair and sporting. A challenge, sometimes a pure spectacle, which saw the two champions surpass themselves, and that is exactly what we believe in. »

“Today's victory is also, or rather, above all, the best way to greet and say goodbye to Team Pramac with whom, I say proudly, we shared all the technical resources until the last race to provide all our pilots with the best possible equipment. A real team, a formidable group of professionals with whom we have worked in unison for 20 years. My affection to everyone, starting with their leader and my good friend, Paolo Campinoti. »

“For Ducati, 2024 was a stratospheric year in which we broke the record for victories and podiums, and putting the eight Desmosedici ahead of everyone in the sprint race in Thailand was the icing on the cake. Incredible figures that speak for themselves: we won 19 of the 20 long races, we achieved 14 100% Ducati podiums, and in 6 Grands Prix, the first 5 bikes to finish were ours! 16 poles won this year, and our number of MotoGP victories increased to 106. We are the only European motorcycle manufacturer to have exceeded the 100 mark! »

“We must now continue on this path, with the mentality of those who always pursue a goal but never have the feeling of having finally achieved it: this is my wish, while I thank from the bottom of my heart all women and all the men of Ducati Corse for the commitment and passion they demonstrate every day. »
