Fabio Quartararo once again finished outside the points during the Barcelona Sprint. The Frenchman expressed his frustration with a bike which, according to him, did not allow him to express his full potential.
Fabio Quartararo finished in tenth position during the Sprint
Race of the Barcelona Grand Prix, and although he showed good pace, he had to be content with this classification due to some technical limitations that hampered his performance. The pilot Yamaha acknowledged that while he had the potential to feature higher, factors like speed and grip compromised his chances of ranking higher.
« We had the pace to be faster, but we were clearly blocked“, analyzed Quarterly after the race.
Fabio Quartararo: « we couldn't fight with our rivals, even if we were close »
He adds: “ I think our potential was quite good, but we were lacking in some areas, so we couldn't fight with our rivals, even though we were close. » The Frenchman stressed that his overtaking on
Marco Bezzecchi was not a conventional overtaking: “ the overtaking I did on Bezzecchifor example, was not a typical overrun. I took a lot of risksso it is not a pure overrun. »
Looking towards Sunday's race,
Quarterly emphasized the need to work on speed and grip, areas which are crucial on the demanding Montmelo track. “ We work on speed and grip for tomorrow, because this track is really demanding on these two aspects. »
Despite the difficulties encountered in Sprint,
Quarterly remains committed to finding solutions to maximize the potential of its
Yamaha and improve his performance during the main race.
