Omar Ben Wanis, Raja Sports Club’s physical trainer, confirmed that a special preparatory program has been prepared for newcomers to the ranks of the “Green Team”, with the aim of regaining their physical fitness to help their colleagues in the professional championship and Champions League matches.
Ben Ouness said in a press statement after the Green Battalion’s victory over Nahdet Zemmara Athletic Club with a clean double, in the fifth round of the local league: “Our preparations were not complete. We had a camp in Tunisia for two weeks, and we played a friendly match and each player participated in 45 minutes.”
He continued: “Then we returned to Morocco and played against Al Ain, to enter the atmosphere of the African Champions League, so we did not make preparations like the Moroccan clubs did, which conducted camps for 6 and 7 weeks, and played six or seven friendly matches.”
“We played a friendly match lasting 45 minutes and another 60 minutes, and we started the Champions League competitions, so the players began to raise the level of matches, to prove that they are present in the tournament and in the African Champions League.” The same speaker adds.
He continued: ““The newcomers to Raja’s ranks are still physically weak, and we have prepared a preparatory program for them so that they will be ready as soon as possible to help the team.”
He concluded: ““We will enter the Champions League competition to win it, and as for the draw, ‘Whoever came is welcome,’ and we are determined to achieve this title for the sake of the fans, the team management, the players, and the crew.”
