This Sunday evening, TF1 broadcast a report on the Palmade affair, in the program “Sept à quatre”. On November 20, the 56-year-old actor will appear for unintentional injuries, after hitting a car with a man (the driver), a 6-year-old child and an expectant mother on board. Although the accident was not fatal for any of the passengers, it was nevertheless fatal for the child carried by the young pregnant woman. The perpetrator, however, will not be tried for homicide: the baby was stillborn, and according to French justice, he cannot be considered a person. The injured have serious after-effects from this accident. “I no longer have feeling in three of my fingers. And when I walk, the plates I have in my legs cause me a lot of pain,” says the driver of the accident vehicle. A testimony to be found in full here.

The report from “Seven to Eight” also gave the floor to those close to Pierre Palmade, including François Rollin. The actor inevitably broached the subject of drug and alcohol addictions, which had been plaguing his friend for years and which caused this terrible accident (at the wheel of his car, Pierre Palmade was under the influence of narcotics). Still in contact with the comedian, François Rollin assured: “The injured child and the child who died in his mother’s womb will haunt him until the end of his days. Why does he survive? Because he has the crazy desire to try to make amends, to make amends. That’s what keeps him standing. » According to him, Palmade has been “absteme for a little over a year”. He would have given up on drugs and alcohol. “It’s a tiny victory in a sea of disasters. »

Finally, the report from “Sept to Eight” concludes with an unexpected revelation. “At his trial on November 20, Pierre Palmade faces up to 14 years in prison and a fine of 200,000 euros. While waiting to be established, he is writing again for comedians, but under a pseudonym,” indicates the journalist in charge of the subject. No names of actors were mentioned. We also do not know under what name Pierre Palmade signs his new sketches.
