Hezbollah bombed military sites with missiles in both Haifa and Tiberias, wounding 10 people, while Israel launched violent raids on the southern suburbs of the Lebanese capital, Beirut.

The Israeli Rambam Hospital announced that it had received 6 casualties so far as a result of rockets falling in Haifa. Lebanese Hezbollah said, “We bombed the Carmel base south of Haifa with ‘Fadi 1’ missiles in defense of Lebanon and its people.”

The Israeli army also said that 5 missiles were launched from Lebanon towards Haifa, and the defenses failed to intercept them, while the Israeli Broadcasting Corporation announced that two people were moderately and seriously injured in Tiberias as a result of rockets being fired towards the city.

Many areas surrounding Haifa are witnessing the launching of missiles and other interceptions, but this is the first time that the city center has been targeted.

For its part, Hezbollah said that it targeted an Israeli military base near Haifa in northern Israel for the third time on Sunday, after two drone attacks targeted another base in the same area.

The bombing of the suburb

Meanwhile, a new Israeli bombing targeted the southern suburb of Beirut on Sunday, according to what was reported by the Lebanese National News Agency, shortly after the Israeli army called on residents to evacuate two areas in Hezbollah’s stronghold, which has been subjected to continuous bombing for several days.

The official agency said: “The enemy warplanes launched two raids on the southern suburb, the first targeted the Saint Therese area, and the second targeted the Burj al-Barajneh area.”

A source close to Hezbollah told Agence -Presse that the raid that targeted Saint Therese leveled a building to the ground.

Later, the agency reported two additional raids on the suburb, one of which targeted the Hadath area and was described as “violent.” Video footage showed 4 strikes, one of which caused a large explosion, scattering burning shrapnel, and billowing thick black smoke.
