The Moroccan national Football team arrived yesterday evening, Wednesday, in Franceville, where it will face its Gabonese counterpart, tomorrow, Friday, for the fifth round of qualifiers for the African Cup of Nations. Which will be held from December 21, 2025 to January 18, 2026 in Morocco.
Upon its arrival at Mfengi Haj Omar Bongo Ondimba Airport, the national team was received by the Moroccan Ambassador to Gabon, Abdullah Subaihi, in the presence of members of the Gabonese Football Federation and members of the Moroccan Embassy.
Morocco, which qualifies for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations finals as the host country, is in Group B alongside Gabon, Central Africa and Lesotho.
With 12 points, the Atlas Lions lead the group, while Gabon is in second place (7 points), Central Africa is third (3 points), and the Lesotho national team is at the bottom of the standings with one point.
