Antananarivo, September 10, 8:15 a.m. – No rest for the Barea coach and his technical staff after the first two days of the qualifiers for the 2025 African Cup of Nations. After the match between the Barea of Madagascar and the Coelacanthes of the Comoros on Monday, Romuald Rakotondrabe talks about the arrival of reinforcements in October for the third and fourth days.

“We will have new players,” reports the coach at the head of the Malagasy selection. “There is a player we have wanted for a long time. He has accepted, he will come,” announces Rôrô without revealing a name.

The former FC BFV player says there is not much time between the first two matches and the next two matches. “We still have to improve a lot of things,” he continues, focusing on finishing.

According to the coach, the two-legged match against Gambia will be played away. The Malagasy Football Federation is working to find a ground to host the Barea’s home match. Due to the lack of approval by the Confederation of African Football, the Mahamasina ground will not yet be able to host the match with the Gambia Scorpions.
