New fine to put on the back of Anthony Edwards since the Wolves star will have to take the modest sum of $75,000 out of his pocket because he spoke badly about the referees after the meeting between Minnesota and Golden State.
The Timberwolves are in difficulty and the group is frustrated like Anthony Edwards who did not have his tongue in his pocket after the defeat against the Warriors.
After the match, he took out the flamethrower at the referees.
“They were rubbish, their arguments for not calling a foul were rubbish too. They don't want to talk to the coach, they don't want to talk to me. I said something to the referee, he gave me a technique. He told one of my teammates that if I hadn't said anything, I wouldn't have gotten a technique. They’re just touchy and lame.” Anthony Edwards

An outing which did not please the NBA and which decided to sanction the superstar with a fine of $75,000.
This is the second fine Anthony Edwards has received this season. Just a month ago, AE was already fined $35,000 for sticking his middle finger out at a fan. If we add that of $40,000 taken at the start of 2024, again for having spoken poorly of the referees, it starts to add up to a lot.
Given the situation of the Wolves who are struggling to put one foot in front of the other, the frustration could only get worse as the days go by and it would be better for Anthony Edwards to watch the words that come out of his mouth because, in the NBA, fines fall at the speed of light.
