In the apartment of a woman aged around 70, living alone, a fire broke out on Thursday, December 19, around 10:30 a.m. The fire started in the bedroom of the apartment, located on the 4th floor at the intersection between rue Fournier-Lacharmie and avenue Georges-Pompidou, before the rapid intervention of the firefighters. In total, around 20 firefighters were present on site, including a van coming from the Périgueux barracks and another from Saint-Astier.

Those from Périgueux, under SCBA (isolated breathing apparatus), went into the apartment and threw the objects and clothing affected by the flames from the window, so that the team from Saint-Astier put them out downstairs with help. with a hose and to avoid flooding the different apartments in the building.
