Isère: Benoit Hilbert, new president of the Grenoble Alpes University Foundation
Meeting on December 12, the board of directors of the Grenoble Alpes University Foundation (UGA) elected its new president for the 2024-2028 term. This is Benoit Hilbert, who was until now the vice-president of this structure bringing together the UGA, Air Liquide, bioMérieux, the Banque Populaire Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, the CHU Grenoble Alpes, Grenoble Alpes Métropole and the Department of Isère. “Values, convictions and commitment bring us together around two ambitions: to develop and share scientific knowledge, and to support students to make them responsible and enlightened citizens,” Benoit Hilbert declared in a press release.
“The appointment of a president from the industrial world marks a strong strategic direction for the UGA and its foundation. This choice reflects an ambitious vision for the next five years: to become an essential partnership foundation engaging the University and economic and institutional players in the service of the general interest. ”
Former general manager of Air Liquide advanced Technologies and currently vice-president of sales and technology of Air Liquide Global Engineering & Construction, Benoit Hilbert succeeds Patrick Lévy, hospital practitioner. The latter had held the presidency since 2014.
