It is a collaboration which does not date from yesterday and which the managers of the two companies believe that it dates back to the 1990s. A partnership which places each of the two entities in a voluntary CSR approach, the famous corporate social responsibility which aims to integrate sustainable development issues, in the medium and long term, into the vision and strategy of an organization.

“Less noise and zero emissions”

“We are supporting our client WM88 in improving the impact of transport on the surrounding environment, that is to say less noise, better air quality and zero emissions”, indicates Charline Gillet, director of the Transvallées site, in the Neuilly industrial zone in Châtenois.

Concretely, this involves the installation of an electric tractor which makes ten shuttles every day, eight hours a day, between the production factory and the Transvallées Perrenot storage site, as well as shuttles within the site from WM88.

The latter manufactures some 60,000 kitchens on site each year; it is present within the major brands in and is gradually developing exports. And has new projects for the period 2025-2026.

Pioneer of electromobility

Jacky Perrenot, the second largest road haulier nationally, stands out in this context as a pioneer of electromobility in heavy road transport. The group has more than 800 vehicles using alternative energies among the approximately 6,000 vehicles in its fleet, including 100% electric trucks capable of ensuring long-distance journeys, up to 750 km per day.

Adaptation to the needs of urban flows

To support this transition, “a vast network of charging stations is deployed, with more than 120 installations in service and an expansion planned to 250 terminals by 2025,” adds Charline Gillet. This infrastructure ensures rapid and optimized charging, adapted to the needs of both urban and extra-urban flows, while supporting logistics operations in low-emission zones (ZFE).

These investments also underline Jacky Perrenot’s commitment to anticipating regulatory requirements and offering a turnkey solution to its partners.
