Today, everything seems to be going well for Niels Schneider. At 37, the French-Canadian actor has accumulated professional successes. A particularly popular actor in French cinema, he has made many auteur films and has notably worked with Romain Quirot, Justine Triet and even Woody Allen. In his personal life too, the actor could hardly dream of better. Since 2018, he has shared the life of Belgian actress Virginie Efira, with whom he has notably filmed An impossible love in 2017. The couple was blessed to welcome their first child, Hiro, born on August 28, 2023.
But despite this accumulation of beautiful things, Niels Schneider keeps buried deep inside him a tenacious suffering, revived every September 8. The native of Meudon, from a family of five children, had the pain of losing his brother Vadim 21 years ago. The latter was only 17 years old when he died in a car accident.
