7:45 p.m.: After a short introduction by our host Delphine Ysaye, Indochina takes to the stage, crossing the audience, starting an evening with ease, and begins his set with the first single among the 17 tracks on the album. Babel Babel : “Le Chant des Cygnes”. The audience, already well marked by the catchy melody, naturally replaced the young choristers recorded on the album.
Another new song that works particularly well on stage: “Sanna sur la Croix”, its piano intro immediately hits the ears, a simple but terribly effective gimmick.
Nicola Sirkiswith the Royal Palace in his field of vision, will not fail to question the public about the presence of the King, humorously pointing out the flag flying on the building near the showcase.
The 6-track session also made way for memories, to the great delight of fans, including “Un été français” and “Nos fêtezations”.
Another flashback: “Just you and me” from the album Dance club (1999) and introduced by these words of Nicola Sirkis: “a title written, recorded and filmed here in Brussels”, underlining the strong links, since his childhood, with our country. He will end the performance with a sincere “good evening, and long live united Belgium!” to the warm applause of grateful fans.
The evening will leave an unforgettable memory for the young and old present, and further reinforces the image we had of Indochine, having already organized a few events with them: a unifying group, generous and close to its audience.
