Just a few months after receiving the crown and sash of Miss Nord-Pas-de-Calais, the life of Eve Gilles changed overnight after being elected Miss France 2024. The young woman then aged 20 makes beauty pageant history by becoming the first woman with short hair to be elected Miss France. “I decided to cut my hair on a whim. It brought something out of me, it changed me and made me seem more like a strong woman. That’s what I want to show”she explained. During her reign, Eve Gilles made a series of media appearances, notably at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, where she was invited to carry the torch for the Olympic torch relay.

The 21-year-old young woman passed the torch to Angélique Angarni-Filopon who, like her predecessor, left her mark on the history of the beauty contest. At 34, Miss Martinique became the oldest candidate to win the crown and sash of Miss France.

Despite her recent move to her region, Miss France 2024 explained that she was returning “several weeks” live in Paris due to his participation in Dancing with the stars. “My region is very close to my heart and in any case, I would have made a lot of trips back and forth to return there.
