Diourbel, Jan 24 (APS) – The Diourbel Regional Health Directorate (Center) has a regional maintenance plan to guarantee the reliability and sustainability of equipment for health structures in the region, announced on Friday, Its manager, Dr Mamadou Dieng.
“Maintenance is one of the pillars of the health system alongside infrastructure and equipment. And today the region has been equipped with a maintenance plan which takes into account the maintenance needs of all the health structures of the region in this case the four hospitals and the health districts ”, it He declared during the validation meeting of the regional maintenance plan.
He indicated that this plan comes in a context where the region has the latest generation medical equipment in radiology, cancer, emergency, resuscitation and laboratory services of the various health structures.
Doctor Dieng stressed that this equipment requires regular preventive maintenance with good planning.
The 2025-2028 maintenance plan will take into account all the requirements for the maintenance of the aircraft fleet which is at the level of health structures, he assured.
“Several questions relating to maintenance have been discussed ranging from funding, tools, purchasing spare parts as well as training for technicians and equipment users,” said the Regional Health Director.
-He revealed that Diourbel is the first region to have a maintenance plan validated on a regional scale with the support of the National Training Center for Hospital Maintenance Technicians.
In addition, Mamadou Dieng pleaded for the strengthening of the regional division of staff maintenance, logistics, tools and mobile maintenance laboratory.
