Two young adults arrested after an attack in Rivière-du-Loup

Two young men aged 18 and 19 were arrested by Sûreté du Québec police officers, after committing an attack in a residence on rue Saint-André, this Thursday, January 23.

According to information from the Sûreté du Québec, the two individuals broke into the property around 2:30 p.m. “They allegedly tried to attack the occupant of the premises who defended himself with a weapon white,” said Béatrice d’Orsainville, spokesperson for the SQ.

The suspects, who fled, were quickly found by Sûreté du Québec agents, said Sergeant d’Orsainville. After the events, assessments were carried out on the scene and the victim was met.

Fortunately, no one was seriously injured.

The two people are expected to appear at the Rivière-du-Loup courthouse today.
