Last night, Thursday January 23, 2025, the deputy of the sixth district of Gard (of which Uzès is a part), Sylvie Josserandgave his wishes to the population of Uzès from the Racine lounge of the town hall.
In front of around fifty people, including certain elected officials (from Saint-Victor et La Capelle notably), the representative of the National Rally (RN), delivered a speech galvanizing, announcing its priority files for the coming year.
A Republican “thank you” for Uzès
By way of preamblethe elected official first wanted to “thank Uzès and its mayor, Jean-Luc Chapon”, for keeping his vows. “Other mayors in the area gave me a courteous silence for the same request. It's nice to see that here, even if we don't have the same ideas, republican law still exists.”.

In the 6e constituencyit is after 9 p.m. Sunday July 7, 2024 that the Prefecture publishes the results (temporary, based on 88.35% of registrants received). For the first timethe RN wins the constituency, with 51,40 % of the 52,219 votes cast.

“I have been traveling through this constituency since last July. And what I hear there is a fed-up that I share. An impression that the country is walking on its head. But I want to tell you that there is still hope. The country, just like the elected representatives of the National Rally, is made up of people who know how to do”, proclaimed the MP.
Concluding: “Inflation, Europe, jobs, the National Rally has been saying things and proposing ideas for years, already during the time of the late Jean-Marie Le Pen, which other parties are taking up again today […] Young people are increasingly adhering to our truths. Is this not proof of the relevance of our speech? […] To all of you who are brave to be here this evening, I send my best wishes to you and your loved ones. I wish us collectively success in this year which, I am sure, will be exceptional for France which stands on its feet”.
