“The Morbihan department will enter orange rain-flood vigilance from 6 p.m. this Friday, in anticipation of storm Éowyn”according to the latest Météo-France bulletin.
“The first rains hit Brittany at the end of the night, but the episode has not yet really started, particularly in Morbihan”noted Météo-France in its 6 a.m. bulletin.
“Storm Éowyn is currently circulating over Ireland”emphasize the forecasters. “In Brittany, it will bring lasting and temporarily sustained rain, particularly this Friday evening”when the disturbance will reactivate.

Météo-France thus plans a “usual rainy episode for the season, but requiring particular vigilance due to saturated soils”.
Cumulative precipitation amounts between 20 and 40 mm are expected during this rainy episode. “The heaviest rain should stop around midnight”specified Météo-France.
Orange vigilance could be extended to other departments, in particular to those already placed on yellow vigilance “rain-flood”warned the meteorological institute.
