The 21-year-old Vauréen, French cadet champion in 2020, trains in Lavaur and defends the colors of the Pamiers club. She hopes to compete in the next French championships in .

In life Ambre Algans likes archery and video games, more particularly “The Legend of Zelda”. What could be more normal when we know that the adventure game developed by Nintendo offers players the opportunity to indulge in archery!

“I find the same sensations in front of the console as on the shooting range,” confides the 21-year-old young woman who started this sport, requiring skill and concentration, with her trainer Yannick Raymond.

“I discovered archery at the age of 7 or 8 during a visit to the Bonrepos-Riquet castle, since then I have competed and been a referee since the age of 15, and I brought my father into the adventure, he too is a referee and competes,” explains Ambre Algans who has worn the colors of the Pamiers club (Ariège) for three years.

“During the week I train in Lavaur and I compete in tournaments with the Pamiers club, I signed up there because I wanted to try team archery,” continues the French cadet champion in 2020 in indoor and outdoor.

Alongside her passion, Ambre Algans is a student in and would like to work in neuropsychiatry or in museums. While waiting to find the professional path she wants to take, Ambre Algans is increasing her training sessions, “five to six hours per week”, and is looking ahead to her future sporting events in 2025.

And the schedule promises to be as busy as it is exciting. “Over the last few months, I have participated in competitions in , l'Union, Bressols and Fronton (Ambre Algans won this tournament, Editor's note), now I still have a few left to improve my scores and increase my chances of qualifying for the French championship which will take place from February 26 to 28 in Agen.”
