The Senegalese community residing in the United States responded massively to the call launched by the Caliph General of the Omarian family for the reconstruction of the mosque of this Muslim brotherhood located in Dakar. An envelope of 123.4 million CFA francs was given to the religious guide, testifying to an exceptional outpouring of solidarity.

During the fund delivery ceremony, Thierno Macky Tall, member of the technical commission of the donor delegation, expressed his satisfaction with the commitment of the Senegalese in the diaspora: “The call of the Caliph for the reconstruction of the mosque omarien was well received in the United States. In one month, we collected 123.4 million CFA francs thanks to the mobilization of all religious households. »

He added that the collection continues actively across the United States, where followers and donors continue to contribute to this ambitious project.
The Caliph General of the Omarian family, Thierno Madani Mountaga Tall, expressed his deep gratitude to the members of the Senegalese diaspora for their gesture of generosity: “This act of charity demonstrates that, wherever they are in the world, the Senegalese keep the good values ​​and practices of their country of origin. »

He also praised the positive competition among donors: “We are witnessing good competition, competition that pushes people to compete in what is beneficial and in what brings them good. » In his speech, the Caliph launched an appeal to all the Muslim faithful in Senegal and elsewhere to support this reconstruction effort: “The mosque is the house of God. Whoever works for the cause of God does so for himself and will be rewarded. I invite all the faithful to participate in this effort. »
