Pire January 23 (APS) – The mayor of Pire, Mamadou Ndoye Bane announced, Wednesday, the upcoming construction of a gendarmerie squadron in his commune.
Mamadou Ndoye Bane, who chaired the budgetary orientation debate of this local authority, announced that a gendarmerie squadron with an area of 5 ha will be erected in Pire.
“The gendarmerie authorities have already visited the area where the gendarmerie squadron will be established, which will be the only one in the Tivaouane department,” said the councilor, who had, at his side, a representative of the sub-prefect of the district of Pambal.
For him, the arrival of a large number of gendarmes who will have to live every day with the population of Pire means that “security will now be total throughout the region”.
The mayor of Pire told the APS, after the meeting, that 2025 will be a “year mainly focused on recovery”.
-He promises to go into the field himself to encourage the recalcitrant to participate financially in the commune’s march.
»We have done a lot in the health sector. We will continue these efforts in other sectors, such as sport and education,” said Mr. Bane.
He announced the finalization of the installation of a stand and a lawn, to offer young footballers from his town, “an ideal setting to express themselves well”.
Mamadou Ndoye Bane invited municipal councilors to get involved in neighborhoods and villages, to further collect the concerns of the populations, the only way, according to him, to impregnate them and associate them with what the town hall is doing.
