On the evening of Wednesday January 22, 2025, firefighters were called to intervene on the RD 213, towards Saint-Nazaire, for an emergency situation involving a man threatening to jump from the Saint-Nazaire bridge, indicates THE Departmental fire and rescue service (SDIS) of -Atlantique.

The alert was given around 8:30 p.m., quickly mobilizing emergency services.

Highway officers were able to detain the person

On site, road officials of the Department of Loire-Atlantique held the person, a 56-year-old man, until help arrived.

The latter deployed six machines and mobilized 16 personnel.

After being taken care of by the national gendarmerie, the man was transported by the firefighters to the Saint-Nazaire hospital center for a medical assessment.
