Picked up from his home by the police last Sunday, the influencer known under the pseudonym Gaïndé Macky will spend his first night in prison. He is being prosecuted for migrant smuggling by the Financial Judicial Pool.
Gaïndé Macky, Senegalese influencer and activist for the Alliance for the Republic (Apr) was arrested last Sunday by the Dakar Urban Security (Su) for migrant smuggling. Brought before the financial public prosecutor yesterday Tuesday, he was charged and then placed under arrest warrant this Wednesday. The financial investigating judge opened a judicial investigation against the accused.
According to Seneweb, it all started with a complaint from K. Mbow to Urban Security (SU) against Amadou Cissé known as Gaïndé Macky. In his complaint, he declared that he had given the sum of 3,070,000 CFA francs to the accused to transport his little brother to Italy as well as other immigration candidates. But, after collecting the sum, he transported the boy to Morocco. However, explains K. Mbow, Amadou left his brother stranded with another boy in the Cherifian Kingdom where they lived in difficult conditions. K. Mbow maintained that his little brother is still stuck in Morocco.
After an investigation, the police discovered that the accused is a regular at this. He maintains a network between Senegal, Morocco and Italy to covet candidates for emigration in difficult conditions.
Faced with investigators, Gaïndé Macky admitted that the trip had aborted and that he had to reimburse the complainants.
However, he did not respect his commitments and failed the investigators who had released him upon summons.
