Prokhor Burlak, saxophonist, was born in Vladivostok in 1989 where he began playing music. At the age of 21, he moved to Saint Petersburg to take courses at the famous Gennady Golstein institution. Very quickly interested in jazz, he played the whole family of saxophones, however he is often found on baritone saxophone in the best jazz orchestras in Moscow and Saint Petersburg. At the age of 26, with the musicologist and jazz specialist Valery Pissigin, he discovered a passion for the soprano saxophone and the music of Sidney Bechet. From then on, he traveled to where he met his mentor Olivier Franc, who gave him a lot of advice. He begins to make himself known and is regularly invited to the biggest New /Swing festivals. After the global pandemic, he decided to return and settle in . Today he expresses himself more on the tenor saxophone and occasionally on the alto, in the spirit of the great masters he loves (Lester Young, Coleman Hawkins, Chu Berry, Ben Webster, Benny Carter, etc.) and whose he assimilated the language perfectly. Today he is one of the best saxophonists in the Swing style of the 1930s and probably one of the most gifted and promising of his generation. An outstanding improviser and passionate about classic jazz, he expresses himself in a constant search for the beauty of sound and melody. ————————— Mathieu Meyer is a key pianist on the Parisian jazz scene, recognized for his versatility and his role as a popular accompanist in swing and ragtime orchestras, both in France and internationally. Of French and Canadian origin, born in Paris in 1989, he grew up in the Parisian suburbs of Île-Saint-Denis in a family of amateur musicians passionate about chamber music. He started playing piano there at the age of 5, jazz at 12, then he continued his studies in the Parisian conservatories where he studied numerous disciplines (jazz, classical, baroque, writing, accompaniment, etc.) with great teachers (Luigi Grasso, Philippe Baudoin, Pierre Bertrand, Jacques Schneck, Jean-Michel Bardez, Françoise Tillard, etc.). In 2010, he made the decisive meeting with the legendary professor and pianist Barry Harris, whose lessons he assiduously followed until his death. Driven by an insatiable curiosity, Mathieu has a very eclectic background: African music, electronic music, rock, lyrical singing, musical comedy, clarinet, drums, double bass, not to mention his Master's degree in philosophy and his multiple passions, he practiced, studied and worked in many fields, which makes him a complete, atypical and very experienced musician, an artist of great stature. For several years however, first through chance encounters and the force of circumstances, then through taste and conviction, he has specialized in traditional jazz and swing. A fine connoisseur of music from the 1920s and 1930s, he has become a reference in this field and performs with great artists of the hot jazz scene: Olivier Franc, Duved Dunayevsky, Lorenzo Cortés, Prokhor Burlak, the Shirt Tail Stompers, Nanna Carling, Björn Ingelstam, Tatiana Eva-Marie, Nicolas Montier, Michel Pastre, Ali Affleck, le Zoot Collective, Michael McQuaid, Pablo Castillo, Jérôme Etcheberry, Joë Santoni, the Hot Sugar Band, Leigh Barker, etc. Influenced by Earl Hines, Teddy Wilson, Tatum, James P. Johnson, Erroll Garner, Ahmad Jamal, his unique style takes him to the four corners of the world. ——————— Jazz musician Pablo López began playing piano at an early age and soon after discovered the guitar. In 2003, he moved to Barcelona to continue his musical studies before starting his career as a jazz guitarist in Melbourne, Australia. Once back in Barcelona, ​​a hand injury caused Pablo to set aside the guitar and focus his attention on the stride piano sound. Inspired by the great Art Tatum and other musicians such as Lester Young, Charlie Christian and Teddy Wilson among many others, Pablo delicately tries to bring back the spirit of the old greats of jazz into the modern world. No matter the occasion, he endeavors to keep his music as authentic and creative as possible. Pablo has a burgeoning career in both Barcelona and Paris. He has recently toured Sweden, Denmark, Austria, Russia and Colombia.
