Coupe de France – Towards a new Coupe de la Ligue?

According to information obtained by The Teamseveral leaders of Ligue 1 and Ligue 2 clubs are campaigning for the return of a League Cup. Their argument would be that competition “filled certain weeks and brought in revenue”. We can therefore assume that the idea came from clubs at the bottom of the ranking. The daily nevertheless affirms that the project is quite popular, and that it could integrate the clubs of the future third professional division (L3).

The authorities have done everything to lighten the schedule and favor European clubs. They now seem to be going backwards.
