Be careful in the mountains this Thursday. Météo France has placed several massifs of the Southern Alps on orange avalanche alert. The risk will be 4 out of 5, or high, in the Ubaye, Haut Verdon, Pelvoux, Champsaur and Embrunais Parpaillon massifs.
It will be three out of five, or marked, on the massifs of Dévoluy, Thabor, Queyras and Mercantour.
-The Bas-Alpine prefecture reminds that in dangerous times, you must not leave the open and marked slopes, if you go off-piste, “you go at your own risk”. You must always consult the weather forecast, bring a transceiver, a shovel and a probe, but also always indicate your route.
