Algae and job creation
Faced with this growing success Dielen decided to turn to another sector – different from l’animalwith co-products from fishing – that of vegetal with Algaïa, the leading algae processor in France.
If the processing of these takes place in the Finistère the proximity of the research and development center of this young companyestablished since 2016 in Saint-Lô is a significant asset for this new partnership .
Called “Activalgae”, the project will see the light of day thanks to help from a consortium composed of these two companies, accompanied by the University of Artois, the Pasteur Institute of Lille and the University of Lille.
The principle would remain the same as what the Dielen laboratory already does with materials of animal origin, and “opens the way towards a new therapeutic treatment», supports Bruno Bonnell.
The “Activalgae” consortium – including marketingis planned for 2033 – would thus receive nearly 1.78 million euros out of the 2.8 million needed for the project. With the key, 27 positions createdfor Dielen and 12 for Algaïabetween 2029 and 2035.
