Kenitra police dismantled an illicit digital platform facilitating prostitution. This tool was intended to attract customers by publishing numbers, photos and videos of a sexual nature, while offering services ranging from 250 to 400 dirhams. The case took a decisive turn when security guards, posing as potential customers, followed up on an ad.
One of the women involved offered a price of 400 dirhams for her services and agreed on a meeting place via WhatsApp, according to reports from the Assabah newspaper. Subsequently, the police carried out a raid on the premises, a residence in the center of Kenitra. At the entrance, officers found one woman, while another was inside. The searches led to the seizure of used condoms, clothing, cosmetics, mobile phones and a sum of money.
The two women, identified as having been born in 1991 in the Oulad Moussa district of Salé and in 1989 in the Ayaida district, were placed in police custody. Further investigation revealed a link with a property manager in Bouznika, who rented them furnished apartments for 500 dirhams per day.
During interrogation, the manager initially claimed to be unaware of the illegal activities, adding that the women had rented the apartment under the pretext of working in the industrial zone. However, she later admitted to having entered into a rental contract with them and to having received a share of the income, while denying having any knowledge of the use of the place for prostitution.
-The women admitted to having created this platform to attract clients, charging 400 dirhams per session and frequently traveling between Salé and Kénitra. They are currently in pre-trial detention at the local prison of Kénitra, for preparing a place intended for prostitution and indecent exposure.
