An 84-year-old man dies suddenly after being hit by a car in the town of Gap

A traffic accident occurred this Monday, January 20, 2025, shortly after 6:30 p.m., near the slaughterhouses on the Route de la Luye, in Gap (Hautes-Alpes), on a busy route in the city. An 84-year-old man was hit by a car.

An open investigation

Quickly on site, the Hautes-Alpes firefighters and the Mobile Emergency and Resuscitation Structure (Smur) of Gap attempted to resuscitate the victim. In vain.

The octogenarian died. The intervention mobilized eight engines and 13 firefighters. An investigation is opened, entrusted to the Gap national police.
