Between December 2023 and March 2024, a care assistant employed by the ADMR (Rural Home Help) in Orne used the pretext of taking out the trash for a dependent person, in Saint-Germain-de-Clairefeuille (Orne), for a little getaway. Getaway which took her to the Crédit Agricole du Merlerault branch, located not far away.

With the victim's bank card, the woman, aged 35, withdrew several hundred euros, on several occasions, for her personal use. The amount of damage is €2,250. She has since been fired.

“It’s not me”

Everything matches: the time and dates of the withdrawals, the video surveillance images which show that she is the only customer present in the agency… But the defendant refuses to acknowledge the facts. “Even if there is evidence, it’s not me,” tries the one which was judged by the Argentan court, Tuesday January 21, 2025. “I asked her if she could lend me €300, but I gave it back. » However, no bank withdrawal corresponds exactly to this sum.

The court sentenced her for breach of trust to four months in prison, banned from working as a carer for two years and ordered to pay €2,950 in compensation to the victim.
