Capitalize as much as possible on the Olympic Games effect, to boost tourism in France. After an exceptional year 2024, Nathalie Delattre, new Minister Delegate in charge of Tourism, is displaying new ambitions for the country.
Confirming its position as the leading global tourism destination, France welcomed more than 100 million international tourists last year, compared to 98 million in 2023. A record, driven by customers from Northern Europe and the United States. These tourists generated 71 billion euros in revenue (+12%). Another record, even if Spain and the United States do better. Visitors from five countries are the main providers of revenue for France: in order, Belgium, the United Kingdom, Germany, Switzerland and the United States. On the other hand, although Asian spending has increased, it is still much lower than in 2019 (-60% for China and -30% for Japan).
