A Guadeloupe national police car park in Morne Vergain, where seized vehicles are stored, has been the victim of intrusions and theft. A security defect denounced in particular by the Alliance Police union but visibly corrected by the installation of a new guard post and works.

Morne Vergain in is the headquarters of several national police services. The complex extends over nearly 4 hectares and houses a rather special car park, where cars and two-wheelers seized by the courts or as part of road checks are stored.

Contacted several times, the territorial management of the national police ended up recognizing the intrusions but also wanted to point out that this type of guarding service normally comes from an pound managed by a local authority.

When contacted, the city of Les Abymes and the Cap Excellence Urban Community did not respond to our request for an interview.
