Enedis welcomed, at the start of the week, 250 students from four Vaucluse establishments: Lycées La Salle, labeled Ecole des Réseaux and Philippe de Girard from Avignon, Jean Henri Fabre from Carpentras, Alphonse Benoit from L'Isle-sur-la -Sorgue, for a day dedicated to discovering technical professions in Avignon. An initiative from the energy supplier to encourage vocations among young people, while promoting local skills.

Enedis is looking for new talents, who will work tomorrow to cope with the acceleration of new uses of electricity in favor of decarbonization. Today, electricity represents 25% of final energy consumption and is expected to reach 55% in 2050. In this context, the public electricity distribution network plays a central role, with a massive need for recruitment which is anticipate now.

This day organized on the CCI Avignon campus allowed students of Bac Pro Professions in Electricity and its Connected Environments (Melec), Maintenance of Connected Production Systems (Mspc), Terminale CAP Electricien and BTS Electrotechnics of immerse yourself in the world of technical professions at Enedis, more particularly for the professions of Multi-Purpose Intervention Technician, Live Works Technician (TST) HTA, Manager business manager and study manager.

The students had the opportunity, through interactive workshops, to familiarize themselves with essential equipment such as Remote Controlled Operating Devices (OMT), circuit breakers, train protections as well as Fault Finding Trucks (RDD). The discovery of underground cables, nacelles, zero-emission generators as well as the detection of HTA faults were also on the program, allowing young people to concretely understand the tools and technologies of the sector.
A vision of the positions to be filled
Professional paths and career opportunities were also presented to participants as part of a Human Resources (HR) workshop, with the possibility of applying directly to offers currently available within the Provence Alpes du Sud Regional Directorate.
