Since the takeover was made official by the wealthy Arnault family, the PFC has received many more offers from agents than before. Its president Pierre Ferracci confirmed Monday, in After Foot on RMC, to ensure “sorting”, and work “on several avenues” to improve a workforce which aims to rise.
With the arrival of the Arnault family, Paris FC moved into another dimension. Without too much surprise, the Parisian nouveau riche draws attention to himself for his “first transfer window”. Several names, some high-sounding for a Ligue 2 club (Jonathan Ikoné, Josuha Guilavogui), have already come out of the hat in recent days.

But Pierre Ferracci does not want to give in to the lure of easy purchasing, preferring quality to quantity. “We must not rush, especially during the transfer window when everything is going in all directions,” confirmed the president Monday evening in After Foot on RMC. “We sometimes receive proposals that are a little strange, so we sort them out and work hard.”

-“There is also the negative side with upward pressure on costs”
“We have the impression of having Ali Baba’s cave in front of the agents, the players, everyone…” laughs Ferracci. “There is the very positive side with the sponsors who arrive without us going to look for them. There is also the negative side, which is an upward pressure on costs. I try, with the Arnault family and Red Bull, stay calm.”
Although he did not wish to give names of players, Ferracci did not deny having discussions with Jonathan Ikoné, French international (4 caps, 1 goal). “I don’t know if he wants to come. We are working on several avenues,” said Ferracci, before reminding that there was still time before the transfer window closed in France (February 3). “We will make a choice when the time comes.”
As a reminder, the Ikoné file has not seen any major progress. The Fiorentina winger is very interested in the Parisian project, but the club is still thinking about how to integrate this kind of player into international status. If there are discussions between Paris FC and the former player of Saint-Etienne, Wolfsburg or Bordeaux, Josuha Guilavogui is not a priority.
