Good news never comes alone. After the recent announcement of the creation in Quintin (Côtes-d’Armor) of a health center in June 2025 in the premises of the hospital center, a medical biology laboratory is arriving in the small city of character.
A strengthened care offer
The independent Ouest Biologie network has just opened its 35th site in Quintin “as part of its expansion and support strategy for improving access to care in Brittany »explained Doctor Alexandre Bouquet, during the inauguration of the premises in front of an audience of health professionals and local elected officials.
This initiative is directly in line with the priorities of the Regional Health Agency to respond to a growing demand for public health and strengthen the provision of care in the territories.
90% of results available the same day
Member of the Ouest Biologie network since 2020, Alexandre Bouquet, supervises a team made up of couriers, technicians, nurses and secretaries, who ensure the different stages of handling the samples entrusted to them.
-« Samples taken in Quintin are then transferred to the technical platforms of the Ouest Biologie network: that of Plérin for emergencies and that of Tinténiac (35) for routine and specialized analyses,” he explains. “Thanks to this organization, the laboratory can ensure great responsiveness: more than 90% of results are available the same day, allowing patients and their doctors to quickly have the information necessary for treatment. »
