80 years of the Liberation of the camps

Special programming on Inter

On the occasion of the commemorations of the 80th anniversary of the Liberation of the concentration camps, France Inter is offering dedicated programming over several days with numerous reports, testimonies, guests and a large evening hosted by Philippe Collin, in public and live of the Shoah Memorial, to give voice to former deportees and encourage dialogue and transmission between generations. France Inter thus reaffirms its commitment to History and the duty to remember.

On the program:

From Tuesday January 21 to Friday January 25

Four reports Grands formats devoted to “new issues in the transmission of the memory of the Shoah” in the morning newspapers :

  • At the Holocaust memorial, one of the last opportunities to meet an Auschwitz survivor / Report by Sarah Mansoura
  • Teaching the Shoah in middle school today / Report from the Camille Pissaro high school in by Sonia Princet
  • Passing on within a family the difficult memory of a Sonderkommando of Auschwitz / Report by William de Lesseux
  • Gypsies, largely forgotten in collective memory / Report from by Sarah Mansoura

« The last witnesses, 80e anniversary of the Liberation of the camps »

Philippe Collin talks with former deportees who share their experience and answer questions from young people present in the auditorium, with the participation of the historian specializing in the Shoah, Tal Bruttmann.
