In its final report resulting from the certification visit last September, the High Authority of Health (HAS) awarded “Confirmed Quality of Care” certification to the Verneuil d'Avre and Iton Hospital Center (Eure). The visit took place from September 10 to 13, 2024.

Certification is a mandatory external assessment system for public and private health establishments. Certification is carried out every four years by health professionals mandated by the HAS, the surveyors.
At the end of 2020, the High Authority of Health (HAS) set up a new certification system for health establishments which focuses on care and its results for the patient. Certification has evolved to be more anchored in daily professional practices for the benefit of the patient.
96% for the “patient” chapter
Out of 108 evaluation criteria in the certification manual applicable to the establishment, the Verneuil Hospital Center obtained an overall score of satisfaction with expectations of 90.02%:
- a score of 96% for the “patient” chapter;
- a score of 85% for the “care teams” chapter;
- a score of 89% for the “establishment” chapter.
It is a source of great pride for the establishment and for the professionals who work there.

Benevolence of the teams, relevance of care pathways, etc.
“These very satisfactory results result from a process of continuous improvement in the quality and safety of care in place for many years, but also from preparatory work marked by strong mobilization of our quality department alongside the professionals of the establishment” reacts the hospital.
The kindness of the teams towards patients, the relevance of the care pathways, the geriatric sector, the territorial coverage of the hospital center and many others were particularly noted by the visiting experts.
