“Cheese that has stayed a little longer in the sun…” A comedian tackles the Tarniflette recipe on France Inter

the essential
Live on Inter, comedian Amandine Lourdel attacked the recipe for Tarniflette, a Tarn version of tartiflette.

This is what we call a wasted bullet for a poor recipe, which was just born, and which had asked for nothing. In the show The Original Band, hosted every midday by Nagui on France Inter, a comedian has a few minutes for her column. In the broadcast of this Monday, January 20, listeners of the first radio in France were able to hear Amandine Bourdel.

In her column today, the latter mentioned the difficulty for comedians at the start of their careers to be remunerated other than in kind. She then spoke of her recent experience in Tarn where she explained that she was performing this weekend, before tackling the famous Tarniflette, this revisited version with local sauce of the tartiflette that we all know.

She says: “When you are a young comedian, you are often paid in local specialties. This weekend, I was paid in Tarniflette. It is also made with cheese, but that of Tarn, which has remained a a little longer in the sun…” The joke was a hit. Nagui and his gang were hilarious.

A recently invented recipe

For those who have not been informed, Tarniflette was created last December, on the initiative of a Tarn chef, Pascal Sudre, from the Hostellerie des Lauriers restaurant in Villeneuve-sur-Tarn. The recipe, not recommended for dieters, combines cow’s cheese from Tarn and raclette from Monts de Lacaune. But that’s not all. Throughout Tarniflette, gourmets will also find ham from Lacaune, pink garlic from Lautrec, dry white wine from Gaillac and potatoes from the market gardener.

Let’s hope for Amandine Lourdel that during her next visit to Tarn, on February 11 in as part of the laughter festival at the Théâtre des Lices, she will be paid in something other than cheese and local charcuterie…
