A ban justified by security
The prefectural decree is based on several elements, notably the insufficiency of human and material resources to supervise such events. “Our law enforcement agencies do not have the necessary resources to deal with the massive influx of participants without prior organization,” specifies the prefect. In addition, the prefecture assures that the organizers have, to date, filed no official request, making any attempt at a gathering of this type illegal.
In this context, it is also prohibited to circulate in the territory with sound or logistical equipment that could be used for these events. Any violation of this order may result in sanctions, up to and including the seizure of the equipment concerned. The prefecture reminds that this measure is taken in the interest of all and calls for the responsibility of the organizers and potential participants.
