Wild boars “like at home”
In recent days, a video has set social networks alight, with around 1 million views on various media outlets. It was filmed about a week ago by a motorist traveling on the departmental road (RD) 1, at the entrance to the town of Dombasle-sur-Meurthe, not far from Nancy, in Meurthe-et-Moselle. In these images, you will be able to see that the wild boars feel “at home” in this town of 10,000 inhabitants!
The central reservation of the RD 1 ravaged!
Indeed, the lady was able to film several suids turning over the earth, looking for worms, on the central reservation of the RD 1. The animals do not seem at all frightened by the car of the motorist who is filming them , stopped a few meters from them. “ They are almost tame! » can be heard exclaiming the driver. It is a nearby wooded area which serves as a dormitory for these wild boars and residents have been experiencing increasingly frequent interactions with these wild boars for some time. For the moment, without any notable accident….
The nuisance capacity of the species sus scrofa
-Regardless, the images of the damage caused by these wild boars are impressive and will inevitably have consequences for local finances. If, according to our colleagues from France Bleu Sud Lorraine, this situation does not yet seem to exasperate local residents, it is likely that given the nuisance capacity of the species, opinions will change in the near future and push municipal authorities to take measures to enable regulatory operations.
