More and more young people are turning to second hand
-Emmaüs has 550 stores across France. Low prices are all year round. A model focused on recycling and anti-waste. “We show solidarity, we take care of ecology. Instead of overconsuming, we invite people to buy in second-hand stores, to come and see what is available at Emmaus, to turn to second-hand goods.”underlines Claude Répécaud.
And this mobilization seems to be bearing fruit since the winter sales do not impact attendance at Emmaüs Pontarlier. “We never had a drop. In 2024, we even had a good year in terms of sales. Customers are turning to second hand and we are also seeing more and more young people”analyzes the Pontissalian president.
