From January 29 to February 2, 2025,Arab World Institute warms hearts and zygomatics with the sixth edition of the IMA Comedy Cluba stand-up festival without borders which celebrates French and Arabic humor. With a program more abundant than ever and talents from all backgrounds, this 2025 edition promises to take you on a journey a whirlwind of laughter and emotions.
Laughter and diversity at the IMA Comedy Club
Insolent, connected and committed, stand-up is back at the Arab World Institute for this new edition of the IMA Comedy Club. Faithful to its spirit of celebration of cosmopolitan humorthe festival invites artists from various backgrounds to take the microphone to revisit with bite the major themes of our time.
The brilliant program brings together confirmed and emerging talents such as Sofiane Soch, Djamel Oudny and Lilia Benchabanewhich will make opening night shine on January 29. As for lovers of Arabic-speaking humor, they will not be left out: Abdelkader Sector will present his show in Algerian dialect, Hellowhile Mohamed Helmy will captivate his audience with his unique style in Egyptian Arabic.

Another unmissable moment, the Habibi gala, flagship and queer event of the festivalpromises a crazy atmosphere on January 31, with Ameziane, Luciole de feu, Lucie Carbone and many others. Finally, the highlight of the show, the closing evening of February 2 will be done with Judge Jemili and his show Fatigue, hilarious group therapy which combines parenthood and reflection on the polarization of society.
Programming outside the walls
But that's not all! This year, the IMA Comedy Club extends beyond Parisian wallsduring and outside the festival period, with events at the Argenteuil Cave including open mics and workshops designed to train young talents. Driven by Pull Seddak (former artistic director of Studio Bagel, Golden Mustache and Jamel Comedy Club) andcomedian Christine Berrouthese events are a way ofencourage the emergence of a new generation of comedians and to democratize access to stand-up. Some young people will also have the opportunity to perform on the IMA stage during the opening night of the festival, January 29.
