In an interview with Le Parisien this Monday, January 20, Yannick Jadot announced that he would like to be the environmentalist candidate for mayor of Paris in 2026. Senator EELV believes he can bring together the left.
More than a year before the municipal elections, Anne Hidalgo's refusal to run for a third term as mayor of Paris has given rise to numerous ambitions. This Monday, January 20, in an interview with Le Parisien, environmentalist senator Yannick Jadot in turn declared his candidacy.
The former candidate for the presidential election first praised the action of the socialist councilor, evoking a “powerful record” after ten years at the head of the capital. “I hope that the next mayor of Paris will be an ecologist,” he added.
“I want to bring this necessary part of renewal to engage with Parisians in a new cycle of progress,” continued the senator to formalize his candidacy.
