“The State serving the Corsicans, everywhere and tirelessly”
The prefect of Haute-Corse, Michel Prosic, presented his wishes on Friday January 17 to the main bodies of the State present on the island. In front of around fifty of the main civil servants of the territory gathered at the prefecture, he reviewed the year and underlined at every moment the strong actions carried out by the State.

Highlight the continued action of the State
In office for a little two years, Michel Prosic first returned to the attachment he has personally to the territory, a department that he “ very sincerely appreciate “, of ” these women and men who carry it and develop it with tireless investment » and for which he acts “ with the sole ambition of improving the daily lives of fellow citizens “. According to him, Corsica is a dynamic island in which the role of the State and its institutions is essential to help its inhabitants carry their projects as far as possible. Throughout his speech, the prefect did not fail to emphasize the extent to which the State and its services act on all strata of society, whether in the revaluation of the Restonica valley, in its support for rural mayors or even in its support for farmers in the face of global warming. For him, “ State services are the services of communities which have few or none ”, and the resulting commitment must be total.

An ambitious program for 2025
After returning to the significant actions of 2024 such as the arrival of the Pope in , the passing of the Olympic flame or the holding of the legislative elections, Michel Prosic wanted to end his speech by discussing his major plans for the new year. According to him, the prefecture's services will focus their year 2025 around five crucial areas: the fight against drug trafficking and road deaths, the reduction of inequalities, access to quality education for young people, economic development of the island and the management of the ecological transition. For the prefect of Haute-Corse, “ our collective responsibility is to ensure that all public policies that we can carry out are not delayed », reason why he announced that he will amplify the measures already taken in 2024, particularly in terms of control and repression, but also subsidy and investment policies.
